The Nun is the next spinoff from James Wan’s The Conjuring franchise and it’s slated to hit US Theaters on September 7th. The film features the demon Valak, first introduced in The Conjuring Part 2 in 2016. Fans have been wondering if the film will continue the franchise’s tradition of producing strictly R-rated horror, or if they will be courting a wider audience by shooting for a PG-13 rating? Well, we’ve got the answer, and horror fans will be pleased.

When a young nun at a cloistered abbey in Romania takes her own life, a priest with a haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate. Together, they uncover the order’s unholy secret. Risking not only their lives but their faith and their very souls, they confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.
The Nun is directed by Corin Hardy and stars Taissa Farmiga, Bonnie Aarons, and Charlotte Hope.
