We got our first peek at David Fincher’s procedural horror series Mindhunter, premiering on Netflix October 13th, back in March, but it was a tiny little teaser. Today, we just got the first full-length trailer for the series, and it looks fantastic. It includes references to Charles Manson, Son of Sam, and other notorious real-life maniacs. Have a look-see.
Official Synopsis: The series will be set in 1979 and will revolve around two FBI agents, played by Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany, who interview imprisoned serial killers to try to solve ongoing cases. It also stars Anna Torv, Hannah Gross, and Cotter Smith; Charlize Theron produces along with Fincher. The series is based on Mind Hunter: Inside FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit written by Mark Olshaker and John E. Douglas.
Starring Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany as FBI agents on what Netflix describes as a “sinister investigative odyssey” to understand how serial killers think, the trailer suggests that odyssey will be dark indeed.
