If you’ve been following The Walking Dead, you know that all Hell is about to break loose for Rick and his gang of survivors. Next week will see the official debut of Negan, the nastiest villain to ever grace the popular Image Comics title. We mean that, it just doesn’t get more intimidating or frightening than Negan, who makes the walkers themselves look like child’s play in comparison. Even The Governor, who is no doubt the biggest singular villain in the series, to date, looks like a Girl Scout when standing next to Negan.
We’re excited to see how Jeffrey Dean Morgan will approach the role, and we’re terrified at the thought of losing one of the show’s core members, which looks to be an inevitable reality. While we don’t see any exciting new footage of Negan in this brand new sneak peek, we do get a look at who’s going to see about a horse. Well, Morgan, who runs into the horse that was discussed in episode 15. You know what I mean!
The sixth season of The Walking Dead will come to a close with the 16th riveting episode, Last Day on Earth next Sunday, April 3rd on AMC. Longtime genre stud and masterful effects practitioner, Greg Nicotero will step behind the camera to direct the finale.
If fan speculation is correct, and if AMC plays faithful to Robert Kirkman’s smash hit comic, one of the characters we know and love will die at the hands – or bat, to be more precise – of Negan. We’ve spoken in depth about our own beliefs and expectations of the finale, but we’re going to omit any of our theories for those who aren’t familiar with the comics.
