The ethics of creating artificial life has been a subject of exploration in horror since Mary Shelley penned Frankenstein in 1823. The ramifications of “playing God” have been central in films such as: Splice, Edward Scissorhands, and Re-Animator (among many others). The film Morgan, set for release from 20th Century Fox on September 2nd, may be treading familiar territory, but the fantastic cast and intellectual approach looks intriguing.
