Every Quarter (3 months) I take a step back in order to get a look at the state of horror as a whole. While I doubt anyone will consider 2018 a landmark year for horror, it’s nonetheless seen quite a few outstanding offerings in its first 6 months—especially Hereditary.
Below, in no particular order, are our picks for the Top 10 horror movies of 2018—so far. Highlights include nearly every film released so far by Dread Central Presents, proving they’re a distributor to watch for when it comes to envelope-pushing, diverse modern horror offerings; there’s also a gothic streak with The Lodger, Marrowbone, and Ghost Stories.
