The saying goes: “In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.” Perhaps our feline friends dream of a new age of deification, craving a post-apocalyptic future where they can turn vast wastelands into their own personal litter boxes. Maybe, they imagine themselves like the upcoming toy line: The Bandai Spirits Cat Cat Tribute.

Bandai announced the line of weaponized cat action figures as part of an April Fools’ Day joke, but the response was so tremendous, they decided to make it a reality.
Per Geeks Are Sexy:
What first started as an April Fools’ joke, Bandai has now released a full line of weaponized cat action figures. The Nekobusou, or “armored cats” in Japnese, will be priced starting at 500 yen (~$4.50) for the basic figures (namimori) and will go up to 1,388 yen (~$12.50) for the most elaborate ones (tenkomori).
Cool Things continues:
This isn’t a sculpted figure, by the way, but a modular toy, so you can detach and use each component separately, allowing you to play with just the cat if all you want is an adorable pet while allowing you to assemble different parts of the mech suit as its own weapon. From what we can tell, you can build five separate weapon sets with the individual parts, including one with the cat sporting rocket launchers on its sides. That means, you can dress up your cat with a minimum of weaponry, instead of looking like a standalone battle station, which is what the darn thing looks like when the whole set is put together.
