When the folks at Netflix announced the movies that would be coming to the streaming giant in January, they left a few tricks up their sleeves. We didn’t know it at the time, but one of the best reviewed indie horror movies of 2017 has just made a surprise appearance. Super Dark Time, directed by Kevin Phillips and starring Owen Campbell, Charlie Tahan, and Elizabeth Cappuccino is now available.

Super Dark Times, as the title infers, is an entirely bleak affair, one that paints the days of adolescence as a minefield of omnipresent, potentially fatal perils.
