I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Better Watch Out is way darker than you think it is! When I selected the Christmas-themed horror movies, I was expecting a slightly more batshit version of Home Alone. What I got was closer to American Psycho! It isn’t just the extreme gore that makes Better Watch Out an unexpected sucker-punch, it presents a villain of rare depravity, the likes of which we don’t often encounter—even in horror’s darkest corridors.
