One of the most unexpected-yet-pleasant surprises of 2017 was the emergence of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel Leatherface. Helmed by Inside filmmakers Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, the movie had been sitting on a shelf for almost a year before finally being released to the masses. While the film certainly had its detractors, many were surprised by skillful storytelling and incredible gore FX.

In advance of the Blu-ray/DVD release next week (December 19th) the folks at Bloody Disgusting have shared an exclusive deleted scene/alternate ending. Don’t watch it if you haven’t seen Leatherface for yourself yet; rather, skip down to the trailer and synopsis below.

Official Synopsis: In Texas, years before the events of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family, the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriffs’ daughter dead. Ten years later, he kidnaps a young nurse and escapes with 3 other inmates. Pursued by authorities including the deranged sheriff out to avenge his daughter’s death, the young Sawyer teen goes on a violent road trip from hell, molding him into the monster known now as Leatherface.
Leatherface stars Stephen Dorff, Lili Taylor, and Sam Strike.
