Coming soon from producer James Gunn (Slither, Guardians of the Galaxy) and The H Collective, as well as director David Yarovesky of The Hive — an as yet untitled horror film starring The Hunger Games‘ Elizabeth Banks.
The film is set to go into production this spring and is written by Brian and Mark Gunn (brothers to James).
No plot details have yet been announced (the IMDb page does have it listed as only “horror” at this early stage — not some sort of hybrid). But if we have the promise of some Slither-style gory goodness, then I think we can feel free to start the drum-roll!
On working again with Banks, James Gunn had this to say, “Elizabeth and I have been on the same artistic page since we first met when she auditioned for Slither back in 2005. She’s since remained one of my best friends in the world, and I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to work with her again. She’s the perfect partner to Yarvo, the H Collective and myself in creating this very special project.”
The H Collective is a relatively new company, formed in June of 2017. They will not only focus their film-making attention on Horror/Genre pieces, but also to family-friendly and action/adventure fare.
To borrow and paraphrase the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups slogan — “James Gunn and Elizabeth Banks — two great talents that belong together!”
Stay tuned to this space for forthcoming news of this re-collaboration — 12 years in the making!
