I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: If you haven’t heard about Oats Studios yet, you’re already behind the curve. Neill Blomkamp’s new production studio has been thrilling us with a series of short horror films that are fantastic, harrowing, and even hilarious since their emergence in June. The Sigourney Weaver-propelled sci-fi saga Rakka came first, followed by the first side-splitting and cringe-inducing Cooking with Bill (which has since become a reoccurring sub-series). The Vietnam era war horror Firebase was stunning and shocking and God was both irreverent and dark.

Today’s release is just as incredible as we’ve come to expect from Oats; Zygote, however, takes sci-fi body horror to new levels of disturbing grotesquery—and we love it! We’ll be bringing you a more thorough breakdown in time, but we wanted to bring it to you while it’s hot off the presses! Don’t wait; give Zygote a whirl!
