What do you do after beating (and them being killed by) the most terrifying villain in horror history? How about a career in print modeling? Heather Langenkamp entered the highest echelons of Scream Queendom after outsmarting Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) in 1984’s A Nightmare on Elm Street; too bad she met with the business end of the claw a few years later in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors in (1987).
It was during her Just the 10 of Us years that Langenkamp participated in a photo shoot for Batman merchandise, which sought to capitalize on the success of Tim Burton’s 1989 film starring Michael Keaton as the Caped Crusader and Jack Nicholson as The Joker. I’m sure at least a few of you remember that brief point in history when spandex biker shorts were actually a trendy fashion statement!
In more recent years, Langenkamp has become a staple and a star of horror conventions worldwide, often appearing alongside Englund and other Nightmare franchise alumni. The Actress is returning to horror in earnest in Hellraiser: Judgment, which we hope to see sometime in 2017.
