Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, the 12th installment in the long-running b-movie horror franchise, just wrapped principal filming in the Dallas area; the film is directed by Sonny Laguna and Tommy Wiklund as is based on a script by Bone Tomahawk scribe S. Craig Zahler. The film stars Thomas Lennon, Udo Kier, Michael Paré, Jenny Pellicer, Nelson Franklin, Alex Beh, Tina Parker, Skeeta Jenkins, Charlyne Yi, and Barbara “Don’t Call Me a Scream Queen” Crampton.
We don’t have a trailer yet, but the new puppets who star in the film were revealed at last weekend’s Texas Frightmare horror convention. It looks like we’re getting revamped versions of Blade and Tunneler with a brand new villain who looks like a character from Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. Have a look!
Official Synopsis: A recently divorced young man who discovers a mint condition Blade doll in his deceased brother’s closet and plans to sell the toy at a convention in Oregon celebrating the 30th anniversary of the infamous Toulon Murders. All hell breaks loose at the Postville Lodge during the auction when a strange force animates all of the various puppets throughout the convention as they go on a bloody killing spree.
Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich will take place in a parallel universe from that of the previous Puppet Master films and is said to have a much darker tone than any of its predecessors. We don’t have a release date yet, but we’ll keep you posted as additional details emerge. Stay tuned!
