Before helming the socially-conscious horror flick Get Out, Jordan Peele was best-known as one-half of the comedy duo Key & Peele on TV. While Peele is now a rising star with several new feature film projects on his docket, he’ll also be returning to the small screen. This time, however, it will be as a producer, and the show won’t be a comedy. We got reports last month that Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions is producing a reboot of The Twilight Zone for CBS with Daredevil’s Marco Ramirez penning the pilot.

Today came confirmation that The Twilight Zone is returning to the airways—sort of. CBS has indeed placed an order for a rebooted Twilight Zone, but the show will air on their digital subscription service, CBS All Access.
The subscription video on demand service has handed out a series order for a Twilight Zone reboot from Jordan Peele (Get Out) and Simon Kinberg (X-Men). An episode count and premiere date have not yet been determined.
“Too many times this year it’s felt we were living in a twilight zone, and I can’t think of a better moment to reintroduce it to modern audiences,” said Peele, who has found success and awards acclaim with the horror feature Get Out, which many have described as an African-American version of The Twilight Zone.
We’ll keep you posted on additional Twilight Zone news as details emerge. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer and synopsis for Get Out, which is generating serious Oscar buzz. Stay tuned!
