Over the past 6 seasons of FX’s megahit anthology series American Horror Story, we’ve been haunted by demonic babies, white-haired children, a mutilated clown, and a terrifying Pig Man among many other horrifying creatures and killers. But the election-themed Season 7, set to begin filming this month, may feature the show’s most terrifying villain to date.
This morning, showrunner Ryan Murphy shared the following picture on Instagram with the caption: “American Horror Story Season 7 tease”.
Whether this is a mask or an Island of Dr. Moreau type of hybrid monstrosity remains to be seen; the elephant is, of course, the mascot of the Republican Party so the political implications are obvious. Maybe we’ll see a donkey fiend as well (as the donkey is the mascot of the Democratic Party). It’s all just conjecture for now, but we’ll keep you posted on additional American Horror Story Season 7 news as details emerge, so stay tuned!
The only confirmed cast members for American Horror Story Season 7 so far are returning alum Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, and series newcomers Billy Eichner and Billie Lourd.
