The story of serial killer Henry Lee Lucas is indeed a fascinating one.
A man who confessed to hundreds of murders, with no direct evidence linking him to the crime scenes. He would shock law enforcement by being able to sketch victims’ portraits and cite visceral details of every attack.
The odd part is, people started to find fault with his confessions. There were holes in the timeline and DNA testing began contradicting his claims.
With the popularity of true crime with the release of Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes and the multiple seasons Mindhunter, Netflix will be bringing something new to our screens next month.
The Confession Killer is a new five-part true crime docuseries that explores how the man once called America’s most prolific serial killer was really just a complex figure entangled with a flawed justice system.

The Confession Killer hits Netflix on December 6, 2020.
