We’ve been eating up teasers for Nikolaj Arcel’s The Dark Tower since they started dropping a few weeks back. In addition to amazing fantasy and creature horror, the clips have been packed with references to other Stephen King stories, hinting at a larger connected universe. Earlier this week, we brought you a video that highlighted these Easter Eggs, pointing out allusions to IT, The Shining, Christine, Cujo, 1408, and The Shawshank Redemption.

Official Synopsis: The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain, has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim, also known as the Man in Black, determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black.
The Dark Tower arrives in US Theaters on August 4th. The film stars Katheryn Winnick, Matthew McConaughey, and Idris Elba.
