The extended universe based on James Wan’s The Conjuring franchise is about to get a whole lot bigger; the series currently consist of The Conjuring parts 1 & 2, and Annabelle. Coming down the pike: A second Annabelle feature film, a movie based on the demon Nun from The Conjuring 2, and a movie based on The Crooked Man, portrayed by Javier Botet; producers are also in the brainstorming stages of The Conjuring 3.
Annabelle: Creation will be haunting US Theaters first, scheduled to arrive on August 11th.

In advance of the film’s release, producers New Line and Warner Bros have just dropped a new poster for Annabelle: Creation, and it definitely has an aesthetic consistent with the dark look of The Conjuring franchise. We see Annabelle heroine/victim Talitha Bateman, and it looks like she’s considering tossing the diminutive devil doll down a well, Samara style. While this would no doubt be a good idea objectively, chances are the move would not go over well with Annabelle’s “parents”. Have a look at the poster below the trailer and synopsis.
Official Synopsis: Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
Annabelle: Creation stars Stephanie Sigman (SPECTRE), Talitha Bateman (The 5th Wave), Lulu Wilson (Ouija: Origin of Evil, Deliver Us from Evil), Philippa Coulthard (After the Dark), Grace Fulton (Badland), Lou Lou Safran (The Choice), Samara Lee (Foxcatcher, The Last Witch Hunter), Tayler Buck in her feature film debut, with Anthony LaPaglia (Without a Trace) and Miranda Otto (Homeland, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy). Body actor Javier Botet (Mama, Crimson Peak) is also listed on the film’s IMDB page.
