I’ve been nervous about Shane Black’s Predator reboot, The Predator, for a while now. Besides the fact that it’s been twice postponed, we’re hearing that test-screenings yielded mixed responses and that the film is being converted to 3D (both worrisome equally in my opinion). The latest behind the scenes pic, however, actual looks pretty good.
The Predator is currently undergoing reshoots in Canada, and Black Tweeted this photo out to his follows. It comes with an exciting and ominous promise.
Shhhh…. He’s coming.
Now if only we could see a trailer, I might actually be convinced!

The Predator’s sizable ensemble cast includes Thomas Jane, Jake Busey, Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, and Augusto Aguilera (and not Arnold Schwarzenegger *wink*wink*). Look for it in US Theaters beginning September 14th.
In the original Predator (Official Synopsis): Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a soldier of fortune, is hired by the U.S. government to secretly rescue a group of politicians trapped in Guatemala. But when Dutch and his team, which includes weapons expert Blain (Jesse Ventura) and CIA agent George (Carl Weathers), land in Central America, something is gravely wrong. After finding a string of dead bodies, the crew discovers they are being hunted by a brutal creature with superhuman strength and the ability to disappear into its surroundings.
Ironically, director Shane Black had a bit-part in Predator, alongside Schwarzenegger. He played Hawkins who was, unfortunately, the aggressive alien’s first kill.
