The Ring is arguably one of the more frightening films released in the past few decades. And that goes for both the Japanese rendition as well as the American remake. They’re fantastic, creepy films that have a tendency to climb into the psyche of even the thick skinned viewers of the world. In fact, when it comes to foreign horror and remakes, this is a picture that ranks among the very best available.
And for some time now we’ve been hoping for a fan film that works to do the franchise justice. A fan film that gets it right, and leaves a lasting impression on the audience, just as the two motion pictures themselves managed.
We just found a fan film short that is going to please fans of the franchise, and we had no choice but to share that with you loyal HFN readers!
The 8-minute short was written and directed by Trico Films’ Todd Kaumans and Jess Stipek, and it picks up a few years after the events of The Ring Two. Still plagued by visions of Samara, Rachel Keller returns to the girl’s hometown, following up on reports of missing girls.
Check out the film below, you won’t be disappointed!
