‘Member in The Final Friday when Jessica (Kari Keegan) stabbed Jason (Kane Hodder) with the magic dagger she got from Creighton Duke (Steven Williams), after which all the murdered souls were freed and demonic hands pulled Jason straight to Hell before Freddy Krueger’s claw grabbed the iconic hockey mask? Yeah, that was cool. [Oops, should I have given a spoiler warning?]

Ever wonder what happened to the magic dagger after the film wrapped? During a recent Facebook Q&A, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday director Adam Marcus was asked if he which props he brought home as souvenirs. He kept some gems, to be sure, but the fate of the magic dagger is tragic.
Jeremy Dick over at 1428Elm.com was on hand to catch the story:
“Oh, man. A lot! I still have my brothers head in a box in my office. I have Joey B’s torso and crushed face. I have the mask! I had the magic dagger but a homeless guy broke into my apartment and stole it. I have a bunch of stuff. And I’m still as proud of all of it.”
Somewhere in Hollywood, a homeless man may be defending himself with the only thing in the universe capable of destroying Jason Voorhees—or does he?
A Google search reveals a relative of the magic dagger was sold on eBay to a collector back in 2015; we even found pics (below).
The original seller was special effects man Bill Forsche, who has worked on numerous Horror films in Hollywood, including Friday The 13th and A Nightmare On Elm Street franchises. Bill constructed the dagger many years after Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday wrapped production, utilizing the original master demon handle created for the film and painting it along with adding a rubber blade. The master demon handle was originally a backup for the screen-used dagger seen in the film.
Anyway, for kicks, see the aftermath of the magic dagger’s stab in the climactic conclusion of Jason Goes to Hell below.
