Makeup maestro Gary J. Tunnicliffe will direct his fourth feature length film, and it’s going to be a shiner. The film in question is Hellraiser: Judgement, and it’s got some very interesting things going for it. The most notable points of the production are the involvement of A Nightmare on Elm Street star, Heather Langenkamp and the inclusion of a brand new player portraying the infamous villain known as Pinhead.
The man tackling the iconic role has remained a mystery, up until yesterday, when Bloody-Disgusting revealed that relative unknown, Paul T. Taylor would be the man handling the assignment. We’re not all too sure how to respond to that, as Taylor’s work in front of the camera is relatively limited. We simply don’t know much about the man.
We do however know that a whole slew of other performers have now officially been added to the cast. Damon Carney (The Veil, The Hitcher) plays ‘Detective Sean Carter’, Randy Wayne (To Save a Life) is ‘Detective David Carter’ and Alexandra Harris (In the Shadows, The Veil) will portray ‘Detective Christine Egerton’.
Here are a few more details that should have hardcores grinning wide:
John Gulagher – director of Feast and Piranha 3DD – will star as ‘The Assessor’! This role is tied to ‘The Auditor,’ a character that learns of your sins, your transgressions, your evils, and takes careful note of them before passing them on to the Assessor for judgment.
Diane Goldner (Halloween 2, Feast 2, The Collector) nabbed the wicked role of ‘The Cleaner,’ a terrifying, aging, naked women clean bodies for punishment by licking them head to toe.
We’ve also learned that special effects specialist Mike Jay Regan will once again portray ‘Chatterer’!
Andi Powers is going to play one of the three ‘Jury’, who were described as naked, perfectly beautiful girls with have faces that have been shredded away; blood, bone, muscle, sinew and teeth exposed. They pass the horrific verdicts onto all offending mortals.
There are some fine decisions being made in regards to the cast. Now we’ll keep our eyes open and see how the remainder of the production unravels. If we’re really, really lucky we’ll see a film that gets this longtime fan favorite franchise back on track.
