While fans have remained (at best) cautiously optimistic about the film’s prospects, no one really imagines that Hellraiser: Judgment, the 9th installment in the enduring franchise launched by Clive Barker in 1987, will be any good. Still, the on-again-off-again status of the movie’s release has piqued curiosity; lead actor Paul T. Taylor announced last March that Hellraiser: Judgment was getting a theatrical release in 2017. Obviously, that didn’t happen.
It would be easy to blame the film’s limbo status on the scandal and resulting legal/financial troubles at The Weinstein Company, but the story of Hellraiser: Judgement has been turbulent from the get-go. Today, however, we’re getting news that this long and winding road is coming to an end; apparently, you can now pre-order Hellraiser: Judgment on Amazon, with an announced release date of February 13th.

Take this news with a grain of salt, horror fans; there isn’t a shred of information regarding the film—not even DVD cover art. This wouldn’t be the first time we’ve been told Hellraiser: Judgement is imminent, only to be severely disappointed.
And, no, we still don’t have a trailer!
Official Synopsis: Detectives Sean and David Carter are on the case to find a gruesome serial killer terrorizing the city. Joining forces with Detective Christine Egerton, they dig deeper into a spiraling maze of horror that may not be of this world. Could the Judgment awaiting the killer’s victims also be waiting for Sean?
Hellraiser: Judgment is written and directed by Gary J. Tunnicliffe; in addition to Taylor (who plays Pinhead) the film stars Randy Wayne, Heather Langenkamp, and Rheagan Wallace.
