We’re still all over the place in regards to Paul Feig’s new remake of Ghostbusters. The first trailer stunk, the next was quite a bit stronger. We’ve seen a whole slew of still pics and promotional images. Some are better than others, and we’re all really scratching our heads with this one.
Today we’re seeing a new TV spot land for the flick, and while it isn’t anything ground breaking, it’s got what some would consider a nod to Universal Monsters – The Bride of Frankenstein in particular – as we see Slimer accompanied by a… well, female Slimer.
If you’re stoked for the film, this probably makes for a big reveal. As for the rest of us, we’re still uncertain of what to expect from this film.
You can check out the new TV spot below.
Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), Melissa McCarthy (The Heat), Kate McKinnon (Life Partners), and Saturday Night Live veteran Leslie Jones star as our new ghost hunters while Chris Hemsworth (Thor) will take on a new kind of character as he mans the headquarter phones. Neil Casey (Kroll Show), Andy Garcia (The Untouchables), Cecily Strong (Saturday Night Live), and Michael Kenneth Williams (RoboCop) fill out the focal cast. Matt Walsh (The Hangover), Pat Kiernan (Iron Man 3) and Charles Dance (Alien 3) also star. Cameos will include the original film’s stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts. Oh, and Ozzy Osbourne will pop up for a little fun, as well.
Ghostbusters haunts theaters on July 15, 2016.
