Ridley Scott’s Alien-prequel/Prometheus-sequel, Alien: Covenant, isn’t the only movie about extraterrestrial horrors the filmmaker is bringing to theaters in 2017; he also produced Phoenix Forgotten, a found-footage shocker based on the well-documented mass UFO sighting dubbed The Phoenix Lights.
On March 13th, 1997, thousands of people (thousands!) witnessed a triangular formation of lights hovering over the skies of Phoenix, Nevada and Sonora, Mexico. The event was widely documented on video and reported nationally and internationally on major news networks.
Phoenix Forgotten is produced by Scott’s Scott Free Productions and is the directorial debut of Justin Barber, who co-wrote the script with T.S. Nowlin (The Maze Runner). Check out the trailer and synopsis below, and let us know what you think in the Comments section!
