Like many modern grindhouse films, The VelociPastor began life as a faux trailer; it was created by then film student Brendan Steere in 2011 and quickly went mega-viral when it was released online. Now, The VelociPastor is getting the feature-film treatment with Steere at the wheel; the production is targeting a 2018 release. Check out the hysterical trailer below.
Official Synopsis: After losing his parents, a priest travels to China, where he inherits a mysterious ability that allows him to turn into a dinosaur. At first horrified by this new power, a hooker convinces him to use it to fight crime. And ninjas.
The VelociPastor stars Aurelio Voltaire, Gregory James Cohan, and Alyssa Kempinski.
Most of the scratches on the film were achieved manually by Brendan Steere dragging the unprocessed film along surfaces in his bathroom, for it was the only room in his apartment with no windows and therefore dark enough to not expose the raw film.
