It’s the internet’s best source for original horror/sci-fi/true-crime content; the vast majority of videos are under 5 minutes long. But CryptTV is breaking its own mold this evening, essentially creating cinematic history with first ever live streaming feature-length horror movie!
Something strange began to happen on CryptTV’s Facebook page at about 6:30 pm (PST). Now, Stream the Movie (#StreamMovie) is in full swing, and the terror is real!

From Today’s (previously top secret!) Press Release:
Digital genre brand Crypt TV is streaming an original, feature length horror Facebook Live tonight to the 1.6 million fans on their page (facebook.com/crypttv). Starting at 6:30 pm pacific time, Crypt, backed by filmmaker Eli Roth and Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions, will tell the story of three horror fiends who find themselves in a twisted game of kill or be killed.
The story opens when 20-year-old Laura finds herself in LA for the first time after winning an online contest hosted by digital horror brand Crypt TV. Having never left Texas before, this opportunity is the once-in-a-lifetime experience she’s dreamed of. Laura and two other horror fiends, Sandra and George, are kidnapped upon their arrival and Laura must stream her way through a horrific game of cat-and-mouse with a demented killer, Kastor the Clown.
Crypt TV has previous experience using social media platforms to tell a unique story, having last summer produced a murder mystery on Snapchat. The elaborate production of the Facebook live consisted of building the framework of the story over the course of a month and extensive rehearsals to ensure a successful live production over an hour in length. The projects includes practical makeup effects and live stunts to engage the Crypt TV audience at every turn. Crypt TV has already recorded over 500,000 unique viewers this month on Facebook Live’s of their original character, Giggles the Clown.
