What’s at stake? The top 10 entries will win cash deals to develop series bibles with help from the twisted minds behind CryptTV. One finalist will win $50,000 to make a series, which will premier exclusively on Fullscreen’s new subscription video-on-demand platform.
The judges for this competition will be Julia Kelly, social media icon who fans emulate as the queen of “cool” in beauty, fitness, fashion and Hollywood events. Julia broke 1 million followers on Instagram long before most, and her Vine videos have looped 65 million times; Eli Roth, who burst into the film scene in 2002 with his directorial debut Cabin Fever, which became Lionsgate’s highest grossing film that year. Roth’s follow up film, Hostel (which he wrote, produced and directed) earned him a firm place as a horror icon when it became a massive worldwide hit. Roth also co-founded The Crypt, a multi-platform digital channel for dark and edgy content, the series having over 100 million views to date; and Danny Trejo, who has had a prolific career in the entertainment industry, including Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, Grindhouse, Machete, Macheti Kills and Dead in Tombstone.
