Last week, we brought you news that, following a retrospective tour, many props from the uber-controversial A Serbian Film were going up for auction on eBay. Most intriguing (and disturbing) is the baby prop from the infamous “Newborn Porn” scene. If you were looking forward to picking up this small monstrosity (or any other Serbian items), however, eBay pooped on the party by banning the auction with no official reason given.
From last week’s announcement:
“The Baby that shook the world! This is the original screen used Baby from A Serbian Film that featured in One of the most talked about, praised and condemned, censored and celebrated, and downright disgusting scenes in cinema history. This rare one of a kind prop can be yours if the price is right. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Contra Films and Unearthed Films.”
A note has been added to the exhibition’s website reading: “EBAY HAS SHUT DOWN OUR AUCTION. WE ARE WORKING ON A SOLUTION. STAY TUNED.”
