Who’s ready to go a second round with that turkey baster?
Don’t Breathe, from director Fede Alvarez, is already one of 2016’s biggest success stories; the film was a critical and financial success that Horror Freaks, for the most part, completely adored. It should hardly come as a surprise to anyone that a sequel is currently in development—we might just have to wait a while to see it!
Speaking to the folks at ComingSoon.com, Alvarez discussed his current project, and when he plans on returning to Don’t Breathe:
We’ll have the full interview with Alvarez and his longtime producer and co-writer Rodo Sayagues up a little closer to Don’t Breathe‘s home release on November 29, but the pair did confirm that they’re currently looking at ways to make Spider’s Web something uniquely theirs. While the Don’t Breathe sequel doesn’t yet have a green light, Alvarez says that he’s definitely planning on returning to the director’s chair.
In Don’t Breathe (Official Synopsis): Rocky (Jane Levy), Alex and Money are three Detroit thieves who get their kicks by breaking into the houses of wealthy people. Money gets word about a blind veteran who won a major cash settlement following the death of his only child. Figuring he’s an easy target, the trio invades the man’s secluded home in an abandoned neighborhood. Finding themselves trapped inside, the young intruders must fight for their lives after making a shocking discovery about their supposedly helpless victim.
