A search for literary treasure goes horrifically wrong when an Ernest Hemingway enthusiast brings a couple friends to Havana to explore aspects of the late author’s life. Just how the end up in an underground maze, fighting for their lives against a masked assassin, is the plot of Havana Darkness, a film directed by Guillermo Iván. Check out the trailer below.
Official Synopsis: Traveling to Havana, Cuba, to investigate the origins of a mysterious manuscript supposedly written by acclaimed American novelist, Ernest Hemingway, three friends are thrust into a terrifying game of cat and mouse when they find themselves trapped inside an abandoned building nestled in the center of the country’s vibrant capital. With time running out fast the threesome must maneuver through a maze of deadly traps to find a way out of the building before they’re hunted down.
Iván wrote the script based on a story by Loris Curci and Magarditch Halvadjian; Havana Darkness stars Carolina Ravassa, Zach Rose, and Jack Dimich.
