There are a lot of films that fans are clamoring for a sequel to and they just never seem to come. One such film is Beetlejuice 2.
Kevin Smith teased that there was a script for a second Beetlejuice film at Warner Bros entitled BEETLEJUICE GOES HAWAIIAN, but didn’t get into too much detail and recently there were more rumblings that we’d be seeing The Ghost With The Most sooner rather than later. But lately, things have been rather tepid on the Beetlejuice front.
Longtime Tim Burton composer Danny Elfman was asked if he heard anything from Burton and had this to say;
“No, you know, oddly, he has not mentioned it to me. A year ago, I saw Michael Keaton, and he mentioned ‘So, we’re doing Beetlejuice 2?’, and I said ‘Well, you’d know more than I do.’ And I’ve heard nothing about it since.”
So who knows what the status of Beetlejuice 2 is, but until we hear that it’s officially dead there is no reason to have a little hope that The Ghost With the Most will grace our screens again in the future!
