Eli Roth’s Clown (review) will arrive in the United States in theaters and VOD on June 17, 2016 (my birthday is anyone cares). The film is being distributed in the US by Dimension Films and Anchor Bay Entertainment.
If you’re not familiar with the film you should check out the trailer below.
Bottom Line: “Don’t jump into Clown expecting a comedic piece. It isn’t funny for one single moment, and it isn’t designed to be. This is the kind of movie that reminds us why clowns can be so terrifying.” Matt Horror Freak News
Clown stars Peter Stormare (Fargo, The Big Lebowski), Laura Allen (Hysteria, From Within), Christian DiStefano (Cut Bank, Finding Christmas), Elizabeth Whitmere (The Last Hit Man, The Watch), Matthew Stefiuk (Donkey, Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer), and Andy Powers (In Her Shoes, Blue Bloods).
Synopsis: CLOWN is a story of a loving father who dons a clown outfit and makeup to perform at his son’s sixth birthday, only to later discover that the costume – red nose and wig included– will not come off and his own personality changes in a horrific fashion. To break the curse of the evil outfit, the father must make grim choices with his own family facing danger.
