Filming is about to wrap on Blumhouse’s Halloween, currently shooting in South Carolina. Yesterday, actress Andi Matichak shared a couple pictures from the set, showing that her character bears more than a passing resemblance to Jamie Lee Curtis in the original Halloween (directed by John Carpenter and released in 1978). It makes sense considering Matichak is playing Laurie Strode’s granddaughter.
Have a look-see:
Official Synopsis: Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.
Blumhouse’s Halloween is aiming for an October 19th release date. In addition to Matichak and Curtis, the film also features original Shape actor Nick Castle reprising the role of Michael Myers. Other cast members include Judy Greer, Virginia Gardner, Miles Robbins, and Will Patton. The film is directed by David Gordon Green from a script he co-scribed with his frequent collaborator Danny McBride.
We’ll keep you posted as additional details emerge. Stay tuned!
