Past seasons of American Horror Story, the mega-hit anthology series created by Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk and launched in 2010, have taken place in the past and in the present. When the series returns to FX this Fall, however, we’ll be venturing into brand new territory: The future!
The revelations came late last week and set the Internet aflutter.
At the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour on Friday, exec producer Ryan Murphy revealed the first details about AHS Season 8 (set to bow this fall on FX). “It takes place in the future,” he teased. “It’s still topical, but [set in] the future, which I’ve never done… I think people will like it. It’s different from what we’ve done before.”
Regular readers of Horror Freak News know I’m a huge fan and supporter of American Horror Story; they also know that I’ve been begging for a season about Aliens for eons! While this isn’t confirmation that extraterrestrials will bring the horror, a future timeline seems to imply sci-fi elements—elements that are a perfect complement to Aliens!
