Accident Man (aka Mike Fallon) may be the next great conflicted superhero for grownups to hit the big screen. He was a hitman with a knack for making murders look like an accident (if you’ve got the cash!), who’s worldview takes a major turn when his own girlfriend, Beth, is the victim of a homicide. Teaming up with Beth’s girlfriend Charlie, the two go on a vengeance-fueled killing spree to find whoever’s responsible for the crime.
Deadline got the exclusive that an Accident Man movie is in the works, along with casting news:
Ashely Greene has landed the lead in Accident Man directed by Jesse Johnson. The film is based on a character from the graphic novel from the defunct monthly UK comic Toxic!, which was written by Pat Mills in the early 90s. Said to have a Deadpool-esque tone, the story centers on the life of Mike Fallon, a high-class hitman, known for making assassinations look like unfortunate accidents.
Green has legitimate horror cred, having appeared in: Burying the Ex, Kristy, The Apparition, Stakeland, and Otis (so I suppose we can forgive her for playing Alice Cullen in the Twilight Franchise).
Before becoming a director, Johnson worked as a stuntman and stunt coordinator. His performing credits include: Mars Attacks!, Planet of the Apes, Starship Troopers, War of the Worlds, Total Recall, and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.
We’ll keep you posted on Accident Man’s progress as details emerge.
