The film Hereditary is being called The Exorcist for a new generation with critics extolling its terrifying and shocking virtues. It drops this Friday (June 8th) in US Theaters nationwide, and the promotional push is in full effect.
As a tie-in, A24 is producing a magazine that will feature “flipbooks” of Hereditary star Toni Collette crying. The images are culled from the actresses past turns in About a Boy, The Sixth Sense, Japanese Story, Muriel’s Wedding, and (of course) Hereditary.

Take a gander and the trailer and synopsis for Hereditary below. As someone who has already seen the film, all I can say is: Brace yourselves!
Official Synopsis: When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter’s family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited. Making his feature debut, writer-director Ari Aster unleashes a nightmare vision of a domestic breakdown that exhibits the craft and precision of a nascent auteur, transforming a familial tragedy into something ominous and deeply disquieting, and pushing the horror movie into chilling new terrain with its shattering portrait of heritage gone to hell.
Hereditary is written and directed by Ari Aster and stars Toni Collette, Gabriel Byrne, Alex Wolff, and Milly Shapiro.
