With just four episodes remaining in season six of The Walking Dead, things are really, really heating up. We’re talking full-bore warfare heating up. Rick and his gang have attacked the Saviors at their compound. Bodies piled up high and now the sudden rivals of Rick’s group are going to even the odds. You can bet there will be buckets of blood coming our way in the next four weeks.
But of all the amazing characters in The Walking Dead, just who is most likely to meet a grim demise inside the next month? We’ve got a few suggestions, and while you may not like these picks, there’s a very real chance that some – if not all – will expire by April 4th.
Now, let’s take a look at our likely victims.
If you follow the Image Comic of the same name, you know Abraham’s time has just about come. The war we are now waging with the Saviors is an ugly thing that’s only going to get uglier. Abraham has had a lot of focus placed on him as of late, and that sometimes serves as an indicator of a premature exit from the show. It happened to Beth, it happened to Hershel, it happened to Andrea, and it just might happen to Abraham.
Comic book readers are all but counting on this. Book readers know that Glenn’s death isn’t just an example made on Negan’s part, it’s a horrendously graphic death. We’re hoping Negan won’t feel compelled to use Lucille on this lovable fellow, but it seems likely, as we know someone important is going to get it when Negan finally debuts.
Morgan’s insistence on letting everyone live has to come back to him. Look, we love the good guy role, but in the world the good guy role doesn’t work, and if he thinks he can pull that nonsense with Negan, he’s sadly mistaken.
Let’s all just be very, very honest with each other: Rosita is nothing more than a bit player. No one is invested in the woman, and that includes The Walking Dead showrunners. How often do we see any intimate moments with this woman? What does she bring to the table? How much will fans miss her when she’s gone? Will her head find its way onto pike? I won’t answer any of those questions, but I will say it looks bleak for Rosita, especially now that Abraham has dumped her. Nobody wants the woman!
Heath plays a fairly important role in the books. And he’s a relatively resourceful character. But he’s been severely neglected in AMC’s live-action adaptation, which has led some of us to believe he’ll soon be getting the ax… or machete… or baseball bat.
Let’s face it, Carol is in a bad position right about now. Negan’s men have her and they may not let go, given the fact that Rick and his people just obliterated a sizable chunk of the Saviors. Having said that, killing Carol could be a huge mistake for AMC. Up to this point she’s the only character that looks cold and calculating enough to lead the survivors.
Like Carol, Maggie is being held by Negan’s goons. And she’s in very real danger of becoming a corpse. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Saviors brutalize and murder the attractive lass. But my personal theory is this: Once Maggie’s pregnancy becomes knowledge to Negan, she’ll be left to survive, for the sole purpose of being forced to watch as Negan turns Glenn’s brains inside out. We’re hoping against both of those scenarios, but it feels almost inevitable that one or the other does indeed occur.
