Maybe you were lucky enough to have one of those “cool” teachers in high school. He listens to some of the same music you do or makes pop culture references, maybe he shows you a movie in class that is really cool and you reminisce for years to come about how badass that teacher was. There are going to be some very different stories being told about a high school teacher in Tennessee who thought it was a good idea to show their class HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2.
Students told their parents about what they had witnessed and the teacher was suspended pending an investigation. It’s not yet known how much of the film they watched nor why they were being shown this particular film to begin with but this is a real head scratcher. It did not prevent the attention whore director of the Human Centipede movies Tom Six from getting in on the fun who tweeted the likes of
It should be mandatory to watch THC2 in school classes. It deals with a character that is bullied and what to do!
This awesome teacher gets a specially signed copy of THC2 from me!
First off, we really shouldn’t encourage Tom Six. Secondly, if you’re going to show your class a horror movie why would you choose Human Centipede 2? It has some seriously graphic and unpleasant sexual content which includes sandpaper and barbed wire, let alone the central premise of the people getting stitched together as they are. Perhaps the worst crime here? Why would you show the second movie first?! You can’t start in the middle of a series ,you need to start with the first movie! They would have been totally lost and have no idea what was happening. You might skip a sequel or two but you gotta show the first one! Also, there are also much, much better horror movies you could have shown your class. If you’re going to get suspended for showing a class a horror movie why not It Follows or Halloween? Something they could maybe glean some meaning out of? No young person is learning anything watching Human Centipede 2, it’s not even medically accurate! Also I must reiterate, we don’t want to encourage Tom Six and make him think he’s relevant again.
So what inappropriate movie would YOU show to an impressionable young group of high school students? If you’re going to get suspended at least go out with a bang!
