Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, the 12th installment in the long-running b-movie horror franchise, just wrapped principal filming in the Dallas area; the film is directed by Sonny Laguna and Tommy Wiklund as is based on a script by Bone Tomahawk scribe S. Craig Zahler. The film stars Thomas Lennon, Udo Kier, Michael Paré, Jenny Pellicer, Nelson Franklin, Alex Beh, Tina Parker, Skeeta Jenkins, Charlyne Yi, and Barbara “Don’t Call Me a Scream Queen” Crampton.
Earlier this week, we brought you a sneak peak of the revamped puppets for The Littlest Reich (above), revealed at last weekend’s 12th Annual Texas Frightmare horror convention. Yesterday, we got an even better look at the terror in store in the form of a behind-the-scenes video (below). We’ve been told The Littlest Reich will be much darker than any previous Puppet Master movie, taking place in a universe parallel to the one we’ve already seen. Here’s a taste:
Official Synopsis: A recently divorced young man who discovers a mint condition Blade doll in his deceased brother’s closet and plans to sell the toy at a convention in Oregon celebrating the 30th anniversary of the infamous Toulon Murders. All hell breaks loose at the Postville Lodge during the auction when a strange force animates all of the various puppets throughout the convention as they go on a bloody killing spree.
We don’t have a release date or a trailer yet for Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, but we’ll keep you posted as additional details emerge. Stay tuned!
