I’ll be the first to admit that I was somewhat skeptical when I first heard about Westworld, an HBO series that takes place in an artificial Western frontier populated by robots. But it was solid, delivering intelligent dystopian thrills and genuine metaphysical terror. And it was just plain stunning to behold.
The first trailer for Westworld Season 2 aired during the Super Bowl last night and, as expected, it’s a thing of haunting beauty. Give it a spin below and let us know what you think in the Comments section!
Official Synopsis: Westworld isn’t your typical amusement park. Intended for rich vacationers, the futuristic park — which is looked after by robotic “hosts” — allows its visitors to live out their fantasies through artificial consciousness. No matter how illicit the fantasy may be, there are no consequences for the park’s guests, allowing for any wish to be indulged. “Westworld” — which is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton movie of the same name — features an all-star cast that includes Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins and Golden Globe winner Ed Harris.
Per The Insider:
The new “Westworld” trailer teasing season two’s robot revolution storyline had several sly details tucked among the footage, but none as surprising as the secret code spotted by a fan leading to a new Delos website.
Redditor Askin1 shared their find on the “Westworld” subreddit. In one frame during the bull stampede, a binary sequence flashes onto a screen in the background. As Askin1 explained, it’s binary which “decodes to 184.108.40.206, which leads to http://delosdestinations.com.”
