(It feels like) we’ve seen hundreds of teasers for the upcoming Twin Peaks Revival, which begins airing on Sunday, May 21st at 9 PM on Showtime. But it wasn’t until last week’s Town of Twin Peaks trailer that we finally got a look at modern-day Twin Peaks and key landmarks; that clip ended with Agent Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) emerging from darkness (The Black Lodge?) 25-years older, and looking more than slightly bewildered. It contained no dialog.
Yesterday, producers dropped a new trailer: Some Familiar Faces 25 Years Later illustrates how characters have aged while also highlighting the fact that not much has changed. This trailer, as opposed to all the others, is unique in that it contains a single word of dialog: “Really?”
Official Synopsis: Directed entirely by David Lynch, the new SHOWTIME 18-part limited event series picks up 25 years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. TWIN PEAKS is written and executive produced by series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost and is executive produced by Sabrina S. Sutherland.

“Really?” Hawk (Michael Horse) says, responding to something Cooper must have just said. Is Hawk surprised or suspicious—and what did Coop reveal? Remember, it was Hawk who comforted Cooper when he lost his way following Annie’s (Heather Graham) murder—and Hawk was the most suspicious of the “fake Cooper” we emerged from The Black Lodge before the series went on 25-year hiatus.
