An Alien Queen may not be the only female hiding in the new poster for Alien: Covenant.
Anybody else seeing the Alien Queen's crest at the top of the COVENANT poster there or am I letting my fandom run wild? pic.twitter.com/Z13axed2wV

Has anyone else noticed that the Engineers of Prometheus, who are returning in Covenant, are all men (or at least androgynous)? Some fans have hypothesized that the smaller Engineer in Prometheus’s deleted opening sequence (pictured below), the one handing the black goo to the ritual sacrifice, is a woman. To me personally, however, the smaller Engineer actually looks more masculine than the other, and slightly wrinkled—perhaps indicating he’s an elder member of the race. It’s definitely opened to interpretation.
The idea of a female Engineer has, so far, only been explored in fan art, like the sculpture below from Deviant Artist Apikit Mechan.
But careful examination of the poster released yesterday by Fox reveals something intriguing among the twisted bodies, Xenomorphs, and face huggers. Many fans were quick to notice the Queen Alien head hiding up at top-center, but as I poured over each and every pixel I spotted another anomaly: A boob.

Here’s a zoom-in:
The inclusion of both sexes certainly adds to the themes of birth, sex, and death that are key elements of biomechanical artwork (the style pioneered by H.R. Giger whose work on other Alien films was invaluable). So what do you think? Is that a boob or just the pectoral muscle of an especially buff male Engineer? Let’s discuss in the Comments section!
If it is a female Engineer, I wonder if 20th Century Fox realized they released an uncensored nipple to the masses?
