Warning: Below There Be Spoilers!
If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead on AMC who hopes Jesus (played by Tom Payne) will end up hooking up with Maggie (Lauren Cohan), filling the void left in her life when Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan) assassinated Glenn (Steven Yeun) in Season 7’s premiere, we’ve got some bad news. We know they make great allies at The Hilltop, and Jesus seems like the perfect father-figure for Maggie’s bun-in-the-oven, but that’s never going to happen. That’s if the series follows the comic book, written by TWD creator Robert Kirkman.

In the latest issues of The Walking Dead comic book, Jesus confides to Rick (played by Andrew Lincoln in the series) that he and Aaron (played by Ross Marquand in the series) are an item.
“When I said I have something worth staying for – it was a someone,” [Jesus] tells Rick. “A specific someone, actually. It’s Aaron. I was talking about Aaron. He’s not going to want to go either.”
Of course, there’s no guarantee the series will follow in the exact footsteps of the source material, as major variations already exist. Even if the relationship comes to fruition, there’s no telling when it might happen, as it would take over half a dozen more seasons for the series to catch up with the comic.
