It’s been 2 weeks since American Horror Story: Roanoke, the 6th chapter of the FX anthology series, wrapped up, but the producers seem intent on keeping the events of the season finale fresh in our minds. We first noticed this back on the 21st when we hypothesized that recent Tweets possibly indicated Season 7 will be a sequel to Roanoke. To recap:
Speculation [that Season 7 will be a Roanoke sequel] is based, primarily, on a series of super-short teasers the show’s producers have unleashed via social media. The first was released mere hours after Wednesday’s episode ended, and features a calm ocean with a brief cut to Roanoke’s Blair-Witch-reminiscent effigies. Three more teasers were released this weekend, one featuring Lee Harris (Adina Porter), and two that seem to show some kind of battle taking place near the Roanoke house. Are these clips for the Season Finale, or are these clips of the confrontation that takes place after the cameras go dark? Either way, the producers are keeping Roanoke at the forefront of fans consciousness.
Just moments ago, producers released another video Tweet that may actually contain action that takes place after the last episode of Roanoke concluded. Remember, the season didn’t conclude with a nice tidy bow on top; it ended just as The (Real) Butcher and the ghosts of the lost colonists converged on a posse of police officers. If anything, it seemed to suggest an epic battle was eminent.
Have a look at the Tweet in question below and ask yourself: Do these events take place before or after Roanoke concluded? If this is indeed action that takes place after the season’s conclusion, is this definitive proof that the next chapter of AHS will be a Roanoke sequel? Sound off in the Comments section!
