We brought you the first trailer for the Flatliners sequel back on June 13th and the second on July 27th. Yes, I said, “sequel” not a “remake” or “reboot”. The film stars Nina Dobrev, Ellen Page, and Diego Luna, as well as Kiefer Sutherland reprising his role as Dr. Nelson, the twisted medical theorist whose dangerous experiments were the focus of the original Flatliners.

Today, we’ve got yet another trailer for the film, arriving in US Theaters on September 29th, and I do believe it’s the best of the batch! Have a watch and let us know what you think in the Comments section!
Official Synopsis: In Flatliners, five medical students, obsessed by the mystery of what lies beyond the confines of life, embark on a daring and dangerous experiment: by stopping their hearts for short periods of time, each triggers a near-death experience – giving them a first-hand account of the afterlife. But as their experiments become increasingly dangerous, they are each haunted by the sins of their pasts, brought on by the paranormal consequences of trespassing to the other side.
We previously reported on Sutherland’s role in this follow-up back last summer. To recap:
“I play a professor at the medical university. It is never stated but it will probably be very clearly understood that I’m the same character I was in the original ‘Flatliners’ but that I have changed my name and I’ve done some things to move on from the experiments that we were doing in the original film.
“I loved making the first film and when I was asked if I would be interested in taking part in this, it didn’t take more than a minute to say yes,”
Flatliners 2017 hits theaters on September 29th; the film is directed by Niels Arden Oplev from a screenplay penned by Ben Ripley.
