Many thought the day would never come while others hoped it wouldn’t. Despite years of gestation and a turbulent production, Jeepers Creepers 3 has completed filming in Baton Rouge, Louisiana! We’re still not sure if Gina Philips will return or how Part 3 will tie into the previous Creeper movies, but we can count on seeing it, in some form, at some point.
Word came down through HorrorThisYear.com:
The movie started filming in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on February 20, 2017. Since then it has been confirmed on verified twitter accounts related to the sequel that filming is done and the movie will be coming this year / The original plot for the film goes as follows “Trish Jenner is now a mother of a teenage son named Darry, named after the brother she lost 23 years ago. Trish has a recurring nightmare where her son suffers the same fate as her brother did, killed by the Creeper. Determined to prevent this from happening, Trish, who is now a rich and powerful woman, sets out on a final quest with Jack Taggart Sr. and Jr. to end the Creeper’s reign of terror once and for all.” Since this plot was first released some things look to have changed. The newly updated plot now goes as follows: “Taking place on the last day of the Creeper’s twenty-three-day feeding frenzy, as the skeptical Sergent Tubbs teams up with a task force hellbent on destroying the Creeper for good. The Creeper fights back in gory glory as its enemies grow closer than ever before to learning the secret of its dark origins.”
Of course, it’s impossible to discuss Jeepers Creepers 3 without acknowledging writer/director Victor Salva’s shameful past. To read about the filmmaker’s legal woes, follow the link below.
