Never doubt what can be accomplished by determined filmmakers on a budget. Cameras and editing software (even drones!), once only available to the filmmaking elite, are now affordable enough for any up-and-comer to get their hands on. Case in point: Predator: 1999, a fan film produced by a trio of horror/sci-fi aficionados culled from a single day of shooting on a budget of £100.

Predator: 2019 is written and directed by Tom Culley; Robert Massam served as director of photography and Tom Proudman created the special FX. The film was shot in the forests of Scotland, taking The Predator out of the jungle surrounds he normally haunts. While Predator: 2019 ends right when it’s good, we can only hope that positive response will lead to additional chapters.
