The 3rd Chapter in the Jurassic World Trilogy is in its early stages, but when it emerges in 2021, it will be the 6th Chapter in the Jurassic franchise launched by Steven Spielberg and Universal in 1993. While the series has netted hundreds of millions and carved out an enviable legacy, it could have all turned out much differently.
In the video below from WhatCulture, they explain how James Cameron (Terminator, Avatar) lobbied hard for the rights to Jurassic Park in the early 1990’s. Obviously, Team Spielberg outbid him, but Cameron states his version would have been “like Aliens with dinosaurs”. Sounds pretty fucking fantastic to me!
