UPDATE: A source has clarified that Gina Phillips only has a very small cameo; though not listed as a cast member on IMDB, we are assured Meg Foster has a major role.
The production of Jeepers Creepers 3 has been nothing if not turbulent. After gestating for over a decade, original plans to shoot in Vancouver were derailed after fierce protests. We reported yesterday that the film has wrapped production in Louisiana, and while we can now look forward to a release in the not-too-distant future, much is still unknown about it. Not only has the production been turbulent, it’s been confusing AF.
According to IMDB: “Gina Philips is confirmed to be in this third film.” Don’t you believe it.
When JC3 was first announced, we were given this synopsis:
Trish Jenner (Gina Phillips) is now a mother of a teenage son named Darry, named after the brother she lost 23 years ago. Trish has a recurring nightmare where her son suffers the same fate as her brother did, killed by the Creeper. Determined to prevent this from happening, Trish, who is now a rich and powerful woman, sets out on a final quest with Jack Taggart Sr. and Jr. to end the Creeper’s reign of terror once and for all.

However, once the film went before the cameras, a new synopsis began making the rounds:
Taking place on the last day of the Creeper’s twenty-three-day feeding frenzy, as the skeptical Sergent Tubbs teams up with a task force hellbent on destroying the Creeper for good. The Creeper fights back in gory glory as its enemies grow closer than ever before to learning the secret of its dark origins.
As you can see, the 2 synopses are completely incompatible: One takes place in 2024 while the other takes place during the period between JC 1 & 2. Considering Phillips is not listed in the film’s cast, we can assume the 2nd synopsis is official. It’s worth noting that Ray Wise and Luke Edwards, who played Jack Taggart Sr. and Jr. respectively in Part 2, are also absent from the cast list.
Also notably (and confusingly) absent from the cast list is Meg Foster; the iconic horror actress was brought aboard to replace Adrienne Barbeau, who was briefly attached to JC3 to play a character named Gaylen Brandon, described as a “shattered woman a burning vendetta. When her long dead son starts to appear to her with warnings about the creature who killed him – Gaylen plots to use the information to end the creature once and for all.”
There is no character named Gaylen Brandon in the official cast list. What’s more, a picture of Foster on the set of JC3 that had been posted on Instagram on March 8th has since been deleted. Curious.
While we still have more questions than answers when it comes to what we can expect when Jeepers Creepers 3 finally comes to fruition, I’m ready to make this assertion: Gina Phillips will not be involved.

Official Synopsis: After making a horrific discovery in the basement of an old abandoned church, Trish (Gina Philips) and her brother Darry (Justin Long) watch their routine road trip home from college turn into a heart-stopping race for their lives. They find themselves the chosen prey of an indestructible force that relentlessly pursues them and gives a new and chilling meaning to the old song “Jeepers Creepers.”
Official Synopsis: After his son is set upon by a scarecrow that seems to have come alive, farmer Jack Taggart Sr. (Ray Wise) and his son, Jack Taggart Jr. (Luke Edwards), go looking for an explanation. Meanwhile, a bus carrying high-school students breaks down nearby, and a creature known as the Creeper (Jonathan Breck) starts a killing spree. The elder Taggart soon realizes that the killings and the attack on his son are connected, and, after alerting the community to be on guard, he aims to pummel the Creeper.
